Is it permissible for a wife to vow to give charity by donating money to feed the poor upon being blessed with a child, or does this resemble the actions of Hindus in offering sacrifices?

The offering of sacrifices is not limited to Hindus; monotheists also offered them to God out of gratitude and seeking His pleasure, as in the story of the sons of Adam. If a wife pronounces a vow, she must fulfill it, based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever vows to obey Allah, let him obey Him." However, if it was merely an intention without pronouncement, it is not considered a vow, because a vow is not valid unless it is spoken. A Muslim should not make vows, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) forbade vows and said: "Indeed, it does not bring forth good, but rather it is used to extract from the miser."
