What is the ruling on financial leasing (Ijarah muntahiyah bi al-tamleek) that begins with a rental and ends with a sale in Islam?

Working in financial institutions is originally permissible, based on the Almighty's saying: "Allah has permitted trade and forbidden usury." However, it becomes forbidden if it involves usury, gambling (maysir (definition)), excessive uncertainty (gharar (definition)), or invalidity. All forms of trade are originally permissible unless the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade them, or if they fall under the meaning of what he forbade. Lease-to-own (Ijara Muntahia Bittamleek) is divided into permissible and forbidden categories. If it is permissible, then your work in it is permissible; otherwise, it is not.
