What is the religious ruling on burying the wife on Friday after Asr, without her family seeing her, given her suffering from social problems with her husband's family?

The Sunnah (definition) is to expedite the burial of the deceased, and to proceed with it immediately after confirming death. It is recommended to hasten the preparation of the body from the moment of death. The funeral prayer should not be delayed to await a larger gathering. However, burial may be delayed if there is a fear of missing the Friday prayer, or due to a legitimate Sharia (definition)-compliant reason, such as suspicion of murder, or to await the deceased's family, provided the wait is not prolonged or they are nearby.
