What is the ruling of Islamic law regarding a husband who gets to know a woman over the phone, then abandons his wife and becomes angry with her when she discovers this, especially given that the wife works and helps with everything?

Speaking with a non-mahram woman without necessity is impermissible due to the corrupting consequences that may arise. If a wife is certain of an illicit relationship involving her husband, she should gently advise him, remind him of Allah and His punishment, and that sins lead to failure. If the wife advises her husband, she has not erred, and a husband deserting his wife for more than three days is impermissible. His cursing her is also impermissible, for cursing a Muslim is an act of transgression (fusuq). The wife must also uphold her husband's rights, care for him, and adorn herself for him.
