How could the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and his noble companions have servants, despite their asceticism and austerity, knowing that the Prophet advised his daughter Fatimah and Ali to remember Allah instead of asking for a maidservant? Does this not contradict the characteristics of kings and sultans?

The confusion in the question stems from applying what we are accustomed to in our era regarding servants and their employers to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions. The truth is that servants in our era are for luxury and to free up time for pleasures, whereas the service of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions was for devotion to what was more important and beneficial, such as knowledge, propagation of Islam, and jihad.

Those who served the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, such as Anas ibn Malik, were not hired workers but volunteers. Their treatment was far from what we are accustomed to in our era. Anas said: "I served the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for ten years. By Allah, he never said 'uff' to me at all, nor did he ever say to me regarding anything: 'Why did you do such and such?' or 'Why didn't you do such and such?'" Furthermore, their service was not for every matter, but rather the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to serve himself and his household.

Aisha was asked: "What did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do in his house?" She replied: "He was a human among humans. He would delouse his garment, milk his sheep, and serve himself." She also said: "He used to be in the service of his family, and when the time for prayer came, he would go out for prayer." This does not contradict asceticism and piety.
