Does affliction with sorcery and the non-responsiveness to prayers for the removal of affliction signify God's wrath upon His servant, and what is the best way to break sorcery?

It is recommended to continue supplicating and performing ruqyah (Islamic exorcism), and to frequently give charity and drink Zamzam water; for this brings well-being, by Allah's permission. The delay in the answer to supplication does not mean Allah's anger, but rather it may be due to the presence of impediments such as consuming unlawful earnings, supplicating for a sin, or being hasty. One must not despair of Allah's mercy and must persevere in supplication.
