Will the husband be questioned and punished on the Day of Judgment for his wife's irregular prayer or fasting, or for her failing to fulfill some of her religious obligations, and what is his responsibility regarding this matter in this world?

A man is a guardian and a caretaker of his household, and responsible for guiding them to Allah's command by performing obligations and abandoning prohibitions. Thus, the husband must order his wife to perform the five daily prayers and fast Ramadan, and forbid her from what Allah has prohibited. If she insists on disobedience, he must divorce her, because it is not befitting for a Muslim to be content with a wife who neither prays nor fasts. Believing men and believing women are allies of one another; they enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. Whoever fulfills his duty clears himself and is safe from Allah's punishment, and whoever neglects it exposes himself to punishment, as stated in the noble verses that condemn those who do not forbid evil.
