Is it permissible to commission some chapters of the Qur’an to jinn to obtain a "hijab" (amulet/protection) to ward off jinn or sorcery, by analogy with the fatwa of Ibn 'Uthaymeen and Ibn Baz permitting the use of jinn for good deeds?

Seeking assistance from jinn is religiously forbidden because they belong to the unseen world, and due to the widespread corruption that results from it. Many sorcerers and charlatans have used it as a means to deceive the public. This act is an innovation, as it has not been narrated that the righteous predecessors used it, nor did the Prophet, peace be upon him, employ anything but means within human capacity. Scholars have adduced as evidence for the prohibition the Almighty’s saying: "Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? They descend upon every sinful liar" (26:221-222), and His saying: "And [mention, O Muhammad], the Day He will gather them all together, [and say], 'O company of jinn, you have beguiled many of mankind.' And their allies among mankind will say, 'Our Lord, some of us benefited from others'" (6:128), and His saying: "And indeed, there were men among mankind who sought refuge in men among the jinn, so they [the jinn] increased them in burden" (72:6). Thus, seeking their help only increases a human in burden and humiliation, and it is common that jinn do not serve humans except through a forbidden act of seeking closeness [to them]. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah clarified that jinn do not benefit humans unless they derive enjoyment from them, and that devils have an objective in evil and mischief. This door must be closed, and this dangerous slip avoided. The matter of entrusting certain Quranic chapters to jinn is unclear, and it appears to be an innovation of charlatans, and amulets are forbidden by religious law.
