Is the marriage of a Muslim woman to a Christian man who does not believe that Jesus is the Son of God permissible?

Scholars are in unanimous agreement regarding the prohibition of a Muslim woman marrying a non-Muslim, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not marry [your girls] to the polytheists until they believe" and His saying: "If you ascertain that they are believers, then do not return them to the disbelievers; neither are these [believing women] lawful for them, nor are those [disbelieving men] lawful for them." A Christian does not become a Muslim except by uttering the two testimonies of faith with the intention of entering Islam, affirming their implications, and acting upon them. Unless he does so, he remains a disbeliever, and it is not permissible for a Muslim woman to marry him.
