Is zakat obligatory on a loan received for building a house and invested in shares, and on the profits from these shares, and on the monthly salary remaining after repaying the loan?

Zakat is obligatory on all fully owned wealth that has completed a full year (hawl), such as profits, salaries, stocks, and trade goods. There is no zakat on non-commercial properties.

It is a condition that the wealth reaches the nisab after deducting debts that encompass it. If the wealth falls below the nisab, there is no zakat.

If the shares are in an industrial company that does not engage in trade, then zakat is only on its profits.

Zakat must be paid on the remaining amount after deducting debt if the wealth exceeds basic needs.
