The answer

It is permissible for a father to divide his wealth among his children during his lifetime, provided that he does not intend to harm some of the heirs, and that the division is like the legal inheritance division, because Allah has warned against those who transgress His limits in inheritance. However, it is better not to do so; instead, he should keep his wealth with him, and when he dies, it will be divided among the heirs present at the time of his death according to the legal division. He may live a long life and need his wealth. Imam Ahmad mentioned that a living person dividing his wealth among his children is not disliked, and it was said that it is disliked if he is still able to father more children.
