What is your advice for someone who wants to start seeking knowledge: where should they begin, and how can they do so?

A Muslim's beginning in seeking knowledge is by understanding the texts of revelation through memorizing and comprehending the Quran, and studying creed and jurisprudence according to the madhhab (school of thought) prevalent in their environment. Then, they move on to gradually mastering the Prophetic Sunnah, starting with concise texts and moving to more extensive ones. After that, they become qualified to delve deeper into knowledge by learning instrumental sciences such as grammar, morphology, principles of jurisprudence (usul al-fiqh), and hadith science. Finally, they delve into understanding differences of opinion and methods of preferring one view over another in jurisprudence, exegesis, and commentaries on hadiths, while adhering to the etiquette and ethics of seeking knowledge.
