Are the deeds of one who has forsaken his Muslim brother raised?

The bond of faith is the strongest of bonds. A Muslim should strive to strengthen affection with his Muslim brother by spreading greetings of peace, showing a cheerful countenance, and fulfilling rights. It is not permissible to shun a Muslim for more than three nights, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three (days), as they meet, this one turns away and that one turns away. The better of the two is the one who begins with the greeting." Shunning for more than three (days) is a grave sin that prevents the forgiveness of sins and the raising of deeds, as stated in the Hadith: "The gates of Paradise are opened on Mondays and Thursdays, and every servant who does not associate anything with Allah is forgiven, except for a man between whom and his brother there is animosity. It will be said: 'Wait for these two until they reconcile.'"
