The answer

The deceased's assets transfer to the heirs immediately. The division of the inheritance may not be delayed except with the consent of all adult, discerning heirs. If any of them desires their share, it must be given to them in kind or in monetary form. An heir may voluntarily relinquish all or part of their share to any heir they wish, provided they are of sound mind and discerning, and they are not entitled to retract it. If the mother did not relinquish her inheritance or forgo her share of the land's rent, then the heirs have the right to claim her due, bearing in mind that the period she resided in her father's house might be considered a waiver. Reconciliation and understanding among relatives are advised; otherwise, litigation is the recourse.
