The answer

It is permissible for a husband to give his sick wife money for her treatment without being obliged to equalize between wives in the expenses of treatment, due to the variation in illnesses and their costs. However, he should be equitable between them in kind treatment and care. It is obligatory to equalize between wives in the customary clothing provision, and it is preferable to equalize in what exceeds it. Intercourse with the second wife on the first wife's day is an injustice, and the first wife must be compensated with the same duration on the second wife's day. There is no blame in concealing the second marriage for a benefit. If the second wife is content with the arrangement of days, her residence, and her house furnishings, then nothing is incumbent upon the husband.
