Is the full deferred dowry to be paid as written in the marriage contract upon divorce, or is a portion of it to be deducted?

A divorced woman for whom a dower was stipulated, either she was consummated with, in which case she receives her full dower, for it is a debt owed by the husband, as Allah the Almighty says: "And if you want to replace a wife with another and you have given one of them a qintar [of gold], do not take anything back from it. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin? And how could you take it while you have gone into each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant?" Or she was not consummated with, in which case she receives half of the dower, as Allah the Almighty says: "And if you divorce them before you have touched them and you have already specified for them an obligation [dower] - then [give] half of what you specified - unless they [the women] forgo it or he in whose hand is the marriage contract forgoes it. And forgoing [it] is nearer to righteousness. And do not forget graciousness between you. Indeed, Allah, of what you do, is Seeing."
