The answer

The Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, spent ten years in Medina filled with battles (ghazawat) and expeditions (saraya). He was victorious in most of them and did not lose a battle with a complete defeat, even if there was a retreat in some. Scholars have stated that whoever says the Prophet, may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him, was defeated, has committed an act of disbelief (kufr). Among his most famous battles are: Badr, Uhud, Al-Khandaq (the Trench), Banu Qurayzah, Banu Al-Mustaliq, Banu Al-Nadir, Khaybar, the Conquest of Mecca, Hunayn, and Al-Ta’if.
