Is the repentance of a son who stole his father's money accepted if he intends to return the money later but cannot confront his father, and what if he or his father dies before the rights are restored?

Repentance has three conditions: immediately refraining from the sin, regretting having committed it in the past, and a firm resolve not to return to it. If the sin relates to the rights of others, then restoring injustices or obtaining absolution is also a condition. Therefore, it is more cautious to confront the father and ask for forgiveness with a resolve not to return [to the sin], or to generally ask for forgiveness, frequently seek Allah’s pardon, consistently do good deeds, and firmly resolve to restore rights whenever possible.
