What is the ruling on using obscene language in jest, especially by those who have memorized the Book of Allah and imams of prayer, and what is the ruling on cursing religion in reference to an inanimate object, knowing that the speaker believes that inanimate objects have no religion?

Obscenity in speech and rudeness are detestable to Allah, and they are characteristics of hypocrites and causes for entering Hellfire. Therefore, a Muslim must guard his tongue, even when joking, because the tongue is one of the greatest trials a person faces. The prohibition of these reprehensible morals is particularly emphasized for people of the Quran and imams of mosques. Accustoming oneself to such behavior and apologizing with Istighfar (seeking forgiveness) while persisting in it is considered insistence on sin, which is ruinous.

Cursing the religion of inanimate objects is obscenity and vulgarity, and its perpetrator risks the sin of cursing religion, especially if he makes it a habit, as it may lead him to explicitly curse the religion of Allah. For everything glorifies its Lord with praise, even inanimate objects. Cursing the religion of an inanimate object is forbidden, and the curse may revert to Allah the Almighty. Therefore, its perpetrator must repent and seek forgiveness.
