After searching for authentic hadiths regarding fulfilling needs and finding nothing that proves the virtue of Surat Ya-Sin, what is the correct way to ask Allah for one's needs, and is the Prayer of Need (Salat al-Hajah) authentic? How accurate is the attribution of the mentioned supplications, and what is your opinion of Sheikh Ibn Tawus and al-Kaf'ami?

The prayer of need (Salat al-Hajah) has a hadith related to it that is debated, and the majority of scholars have deemed it desirable (mustahabb). Seeking help through prayer is legitimate, as indicated by the verse: {And seek help through patience and prayer}, and the story of Jurayj demonstrates this. As for Surah Ya-Sin, a mursal hadith has been narrated regarding it, and a mursal hadith is a category of weak hadith. However, reciting the Quran and asking Allah through it is prescribed, so there is no blame on the one who recites Ya-Sin or other surahs and asks Allah to fulfill his needs. As for the supplications (du'a) that were mentioned, we did not find them in any of the reliable books of hadith, and what is most likely is that they are fabricated.
