Whoever performs Hajj with unlawful money, their Hajj is valid and counts, but they commit a sin, and their reward is significantly diminished, and their Hajj will not be an accepted Hajj (Hajj Mabrur). This is the view of the majority of jurists. Imam Ahmad, in one of the two narrations from him, differed, stating that it does not count. It has been reported in a that consuming unlawful things prevents the answering of supplications.
