Is the Messenger, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, perfect, and how can that be when God admonished him at the beginning of Surat 'Abasa?

The Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, reached the peak of human perfection. He was the most pious of people, the most knowledgeable of God, the best of them, the bravest, and the most generous. God Himself attested to his character, saying: "And indeed, you are of a great moral character." Impartial non-Muslim researchers have unanimously agreed that all attributes of human perfection were gathered in him. The Prophet was extremely diligent, sincere, gentle, easy-going, and good in companionship. As for the verses of 'Abasa, they were revealed because the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, was preoccupied with Al-Walid ibn Al-Mughirah, hoping for his conversion to Islam, and thus turned away from Ibn Umm Maktoum. This action was an ijtihad (definition) (independent judgment) on the part of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, due to his eagerness for guidance. He did not utter anything offensive to Ibn Umm Maktoum; rather, it was merely an emotional reaction that God did not approve.
