Is it permissible to say in our supplication, "O Allah, O Light of Light"?

The best supplication is that which has been authentically reported from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and that to which Allah has guided us in the Noble Quran. For acts of worship are built upon divine injunction and adherence, not innovation. The phrase "Ya Noor An-Noor" (O Light of Light) is non-Arabic and does not possess the beauty of the Arabic language, as Allah Himself is The Light, and that is the ultimate description. This supplication has been found in the litanies of innovators and spiritual healers. The Permanent Committee (for Islamic Research and Fatawa) recommended ruqyah (definition) with the Quran and remembrances free from polytheism, and prohibited taking "Al-Hisn Al-Haseen" (The Fortified Stronghold), "Hirz Al-Jawshan" (The Cuirass Amulet), and "As-Sab'ah Al-Uqood" (The Seven Knots) as amulets, while permitting the recitation of Ayat Al-Kursi and Al-Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) before sleeping. It is recommended to supplicate with the reported supplications and to avoid invented supplications and innovative litanies.
