Is it permissible to borrow from a father who deposits his money in a usurious bank?

Scholars have differed concerning the ruling on dealing with someone who possesses ill-gotten wealth. Some of them hold the view that it is disliked to borrow from or eat from wealth whose source is unlawful, such as the sale of intoxicants. Whereas Al-Shafi'i held the view that it is not recommended to engage in transactions with someone whose majority of wealth comes from usury or unlawful prices, but he does not annul the sale, because such individuals might also possess lawful wealth. He differentiates between purchasing with known unlawful money and general dealings.
