What is the ruling on calculating a daily wage for a partner who is absent from management, in exchange for my presence and exclusive handling of the sale of the shop for five months, given that he refuses and demands an equal split of the sale amount?

If two partners agree to an 'Inan partnership, where they share capital and both contribute labor, this is permissible. They must adhere to the agreed-upon condition, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Muslims are bound by their conditions."

If one of the partners is absent from work: - If due to an excuse: He is entitled to his share of the profit. The other partner may ask him to bring someone to deputize for him, or someone may be hired to take his place and their wages deducted from the absent partner's share, or the other partner may perform the work for a specified wage that he stipulates with his partner. - If without an excuse: He is not entitled to the earnings of the period during which he was absent from work. The other partner has the right to demand fair compensation (اجرة المثل) for that period, or a percentage of the profits equivalent to his work during that period.

If the two partners do not reach an agreement, they should appoint a knowledgeable person who is well-versed in Sharia rulings and experienced in such partnerships to arbitrate between them.
