Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wash his clothes?

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to serve himself and his family in his home. He would mend his sandals, sew his garment, milk his sheep, check his clothes for lice, and do what men typically do in their homes. Scholars have mentioned that his doing so was sometimes the case, and at other times, it was with the help or participation of others.
