The answer

Whoever breaks their fast in Ramadan due to an excuse must make up the days they missed after their excuse is removed, based on the Almighty's saying: "But whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then [he must make up] an equal number of other days." If the excuse persists, then making up the fast is not obligatory until the reason for it is gone. There is no blame upon you if you make up the days after the next Ramadan due to the continuation of the illness. However, if there were periods when you were able to make up the fast but did not, then in addition to making up the fast, you must pay expiation by feeding one poor person for each day.
