Are the marital problems, nightmares, strange voices, disturbing dreams, and changes in temperament that are occurring due to envy, sorcery, or a jinn in love?

This type of tribulation requires patience and supplication, for Allah answers the prayer of the distressed. Separating loved ones is a dangerous path, and it is the act of sorcerers and devils, as mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah. The described circumstances may be due to sorcery, and its cure is through ruqyah shar'iyyah (Islamic exorcism). It is best for a Muslim to perform ruqyah on themselves, or to have it performed by another person of faith and piety. It is not permissible to accuse anyone of sorcery without clear proof. If it is proven that someone has engaged in it, they must be advised and reminded of Allah.
