Does a divorce take effect with the phrase "You are divorced only once" if the wife does not leave the house and conjugal life returns to normal?

If a husband pronounces a single divorce (ṭalāq) – whether it is the first or second divorce – he may take her back (rajʿa) before the expiry of her waiting period (ʿidda) without witnesses. However, if the waiting period expires, she does not become lawful for him again unless through a new marriage contract and a new dower (mahr). If it is the third divorce, she does not become lawful for him again until she marries another man with a sincere intention, and he consummates the marriage with her, then he divorces her, and her waiting period from him ends. The waiting period for a divorced woman is three menstrual cycles for a non-pregnant woman who menstruates, or by delivering the child for a pregnant woman, or three months for a woman who has despaired of menstruation.
