Does sin befall a female if she has male friends on Facebook but does not communicate with them via private messages?

Friendship between genders on social media platforms is not permissible because it is a wide door to fitnah (temptation/strife). Non-mahram men must be removed from theist of friends, and there is no sin in doing so out of concern for men's feelings. If the pages are public for the purpose of da'wah (inviting to Islam) or education, then their use is permissible, provided that Islamic guidelines are adhered to, such as not posting inappropriate pictures, not engaging in discussions that incite desires, and avoiding private chats between genders.
