Does drinking alcohol, beer, or using drugs and cigarettes prevent a person from praying, or is their prayer valid after repentance?

Drinking alcohol and smoking are major sins that require repentance. However, committing them does not justify abandoning prayer, for it is the second pillar of Islam, and abandoning it is a greater offense, potentially leading to disbelief. One who consumes intoxicants must purify themselves and pray when its time arrives. Abandoning prayer while committing sins increases the sin and may lead one out of Islam, whereas prayer may be a means for their guidance and abandonment of disobedience.
