Is it permissible for a wife to refuse her husband in bed as a form of discipline due to his disregard for her feelings, his lack of understanding of her, and his disrespect and insults towards her?

A wife is not permitted to refuse her husband's bed unless there is a legitimate Islamic impediment, such as an obligatory fast, menstruation, or an illness that makes intercourse harmful. Otherwise, it is a major sin, and the angels curse her. As for the husband's aggression with insults, that is forbidden. The husband should be advised, and if he persists, the wife has the right to seek a divorce, even if the insult occurred only once.
