What is the ruling of Sharia on renting a commercial shop that was previously nationalized, then re-rented by the state to the current tenant, and what should the tenant do regarding the rent?

If you know that this shop was seized by force (ghasban), then it is not permissible to rent it from the usurper (ghasib) or from someone who rented it from him. What is paid to them is not rent, and the benefit of the shop is not rightfully acquired through it. It is permissible to rent it from its owner, and the benefit becomes lawful for you in exchange for the rent.
