Is reciting the Basmala before the Takbir for prayer permissible?

In prayer, the Basmalah (recitation of “Bismillah al-Rahman al-Rahim” - In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) comes after the opening Takbir (Takbirat al-Ihram (definition)), the opening supplication (Du'a al-Istiftah), and seeking refuge (Istiadha), and before Al-Fatihah. It is not prescribed for the worshipper to recite the Basmalah before the Takbirat al-Ihram, because there is no narration to that effect from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. When he stood for prayer, he would say: "Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)," and did not say anything before it.
