Does the reward mentioned in the Qur'an, "For every letter a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold," include everyone who reads the Qur'an, regardless of their intentions, such as memorization, revision, recitation, and citing verses, and does this include the Basmalah alone?

Whoever recites a letter from the Quran will receive a good deed, and a good deed is multiplied tenfold. The Basmalah is a verse from the Quran, recited at the beginning of every surah (definition) except Surat At-Tawbah (definition), and its reciter is hoped to receive the aforementioned reward.
