Imam Abu Hanifa is Al-Nu'man ibn Thabit, the jurist and scholar of the Ummah. He was born in the year 80 AH during the lifetime of the younger Companions and saw Anas ibn Malik. He passed away in Baghdad in the year 150 AH. A great number of people studied jurisprudence under him, such as Abu Yusuf and Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan.
