What is the religious ruling regarding a father who expels his daughter and her children from the home and refuses to give her her rights?

Your duty is to be patient with your father, honor him, and treat him kindly, even if he is a disbeliever. You are not permitted to mistreat him in any way. Perhaps Allah will soften his heart when you return evil with good. Make sure that nothing you have done provoked him, because a father's natural inclination is to have compassion for his children and grandchildren. Your husband has the right to demand his right that your father trespassed upon, but it is better for him to be patient and seek reward from Allah, in order to maintain good relations with his in-laws. May Allah mend these relationships thereby and compensate him with something better.
