Is it permissible to continue working at a conventional bank that has started converting its branches into Islamic branches after the approval of the Sharia board headed by Sheikh Abdullah Al-Manea?

The bank's conversion to Islamic branches does not change the ruling on the salaries you receive from your work in the interest-based branches, whether you are directly involved in banking operations or administrative tasks. This is because the prohibition of usury includes those who assist in it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, "cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and he said: 'They are all equal.'" These salaries are forbidden, and it is not permissible to benefit from them except out of dire necessity, such as for food, clothing, and medical treatment. Anything in excess of that must be spent on the welfare of Muslims. One must stop working in an interest-based bank until it fully converts to an Islamic one.
