Was the universe created in its immense size solely to test mankind, and are humans the only living beings in this universe?
Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth for great wisdoms and noble purposes, among them: for His servants to come to know their Lord and worship Him alone, and for the effects of Allah's names and attributes to become manifest. The wisdom is not restricted solely to testing humans. Ibn al-Qayyim, in "Shifa' al-Aleel," mentioned many of these wisdoms, such as knowing Allah through His names and attributes, loving and worshipping Him, establishing justice, and demonstrating His sacred perfection and wisdom. As for the existence of other living beings in the universe, the Sharia has neither affirmed nor denied it, and it remains a possibility.
