The answer

The son of the son and the daughter of the son inherit, provided there is no direct son of the deceased. So, if a woman dies and leaves behind four daughters, a son of a son, and a daughter of a son, and no other heirs, then the daughters receive two-thirds (twelve shares out of eighteen), and the remainder goes to the son of the son and the daughter of the son by ta’sib (agnatic inheritance), with the male receiving the equivalent of the share of two females (the son of the son gets four shares, and the daughter of the son gets two shares). Inheritance matters should be referred to Sharia courts or discussed with knowledgeable scholars to verify all heirs, debts, and bequests.
