The answer

It is not the wife's right for the husband to inform her of the details of his outings, where he goes, and who he is with, nor is the husband Islamically obliged to do so. However, it is preferable for him to inform her when she asks, as this strengthens good companionship and love, and dispels ill suspicions and the whisperings of Satan. Both spouses must have good assumptions about each other, as stated in the Almighty's saying: "O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin." The husband should not prioritize his friendships over the rights of his wife and family, as their rights are Islamically prioritized. He should also help his family with household matters, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to do.
