The cure for obsessive thoughts (waswas) is to ignore them and not pay attention to them. As for anything—whether utensils, clothes, furniture, or other items—about which there is a doubt concerning the transfer of impurity to it, the original ruling is that it is not impure. This doubt should not be heeded, and nothing should be ruled impure except when one is absolutely certain, with a definitive certainty, that it has been afflicted by impurity.
