What is the ruling on marrying a girl who discusses sexual topics during the engagement period, refuses to disclose her virginity, and then informs her mother of the details of the conversation between her and her suitor?

The fiancée is a stranger to the fiancé until the legitimate marriage contract is concluded. It is not permissible to speak with her except out of necessity and in accordance with legitimate Islamic guidelines. Conversation that goes beyond that — especially concerning sexual matters — is reprehensible and may cause doubt and suspicion. The fiancé has no right to request a virginity test, because its absence does not necessarily mean fornication. It is advisable to refrain from speaking with the fiancée without need, and to expedite the marriage if she is religious and of good character. Otherwise, leave her and look for someone else.
