What did God create on each of the six days mentioned in the Qur’an, knowing that Adam was created on Friday?
Allah Almighty stated in the Quran that He created the heavens and the earth in six days, and He detailed this in Surat Fussilat. He created the earth in two days, and placed therein firm mountains and blessed it and ordained therein its sustenance in two other days (making a total of four days). Then He fashioned the heavens as seven heavens in two days, making the total number of days six.
As for the Hadith of Abu Hurairah about the creation of the dust, mountains, trees, and other things in seven days, scholars have differed concerning it. Some have deemed it weak and rejected it, while others have authenticated it and reconciled it with the Quran by stating that the days mentioned therein are for the creation of what is on the earth and are not the six days mentioned in the Quran for the creation of the heavens and the earth.
