The answer

Allah has permitted a sick person to break their fast in Ramadan, and they must make up the days they missed if there is hope for their recovery. However, if their illness is incurable, they should break their fast and feed a poor person for each day. If a sick person whose recovery is not hoped for feeds the poor, and then Allah cures them, they are not obligated to make up the fasts; because they have fulfilled their obligation and their duty is discharged.
