Is sustenance considered a connection from God to a servant who abandons prayer or is an infidel?

Prayer is the pillar of the religion and the second great pillar of Islam. It is the differentiator between a Muslim and a disbeliever. Abandoning it is a great danger that leads to disbelief according to some scholars, and its consequence is eternal dwelling in Hell. One who abandons prayer severs their connection with their Lord, and Allah turns away from them, not caring in which valley they perish. As for sustenance, Allah may provide sustenance to a disbeliever and a wicked person as a gradual enticement, not out of love.
