The answer

Martyrdom in the way of Allah carries a greater reward than other deeds; it is the pinnacle of Islam. The reason for its superiority is clear: the martyr fights the disbelievers and defends Islam with his soul and blood. This deed, whose benefit extends to others, is not equal to a deed whose benefit is limited to oneself.

The virtue of honoring one's parents is also immense; it is a type of jihad. Allah Almighty has coupled His right with their right in several verses.
