Is the inheritance of a lease contract from the original lessor to his wife and children after his death, or his relinquishment of it to one of his children, permissible in Islamic law?

For the validity of a lease contract, the duration must be specified. If the contract lacks this specification, it must be annulled because it is void. The tenant is not permitted to continue under it based on man-made laws; rather, they must return the leased property to its owner or their heirs, or conclude a new, Sharia-compliant contract that specifies the duration and rent by mutual agreement and consent of both parties.
