Is it permissible to pay Zakat on money that has not yet completed a full year (hawl), or should it be paid when each part completes its hawl individually? And is it permissible to give Zakat to an indebted fiancé, knowing that his parents have an apartment for sale?

Scholars differ on the ruling concerning the advance payment of Zakat before its due date (hawl). The majority of them permit it, although it is preferable to avoid it to steer clear of disagreement. The Maliki school of thought prohibits it. Therefore, it is permissible to pay Zakat in advance for two years or less, but anything exceeding two years is not permissible. As for giving Zakat to your fiancé, it is permissible if he is among those eligible to receive it, such as being a debtor (gharim) due to a permissible matter and unable to repay his debt. The fact that his parents own an apartment does not prevent him from receiving Zakat, because they are not legally obligated to settle his debt.
