Is it permissible to pray behind imams in mosques who follow a heretical doctrine, knowing that I pray at home because my heart is not at ease?

Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on praying behind people of innovation (Ahl al-Bid'ah). Some have permitted it, citing the actions of some Companions and Tabi'in, such as Ibn 'Umar and Al-Hasan praying behind Al-Hajjaj. Others have deemed it disliked (makruh), such as Imam Malik. Our fatwa is that if all mosques have imams who are engaged in an innovation that does not amount to disbelief (kufr), then pray behind them, and your prayer is valid.
